The Fires of Olitzansu

Evening sunlight poured through enormous windows, bathing the stone room in rich, orange light. The landscape beyond those empty frames reflected in Amets's silver eyes as her long neck curved back on itself. Her mate, Zorion, arched his back and fanned his wings, all grace and strength.

She wanted that for her child.

She flicked her tail to get his attention, and he whipped around. A slow smile spread across his muzzle before he reached out to stroke her neck. He knew. He could smell in on her, in her.
