The ability to alter events through time is explored briefly in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, but only around short-term events. In Harry Potter and the Cursed, J.K. Rowling returns to her adventures in time manipulation to explore the farther end of that question. Through a series of adventures, some humorous and other deadly serious, Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy learn to appreciate the lives they have, and teach their parents that it's okay to let go of the past.

I enjoyed the story, but I wish I'd been able to see the play. Throughout the book, I missed Rowling's rich prose and immersive description. The stage directions help, but I have to assume it was/is a spectacle worth seeing.
