Built around the legends of Shambhala, Nothing Sacred explores the interplay of myth, hope, and survival. It looks at a world filled with cynicism, and follows endless war to it's natural conclusion. And then beyond. It's a reminder that curiosity is sometimes our greatest gift.

I did find certain aspects of Viveka's initial introduction to life as a prisoner to be disappointingly predictable. Still, the story picked up and turned around to a provide a lovely ending, complete with the bittersweet joy of life despite loss.
